Tour Highlights:

Hengill Volcano: Start the day with a visit to Hengill, an active volcano that powers the greater Reykjavik area with geothermal energy.

Lake Þingvellir: Enjoy a scenic drive along the shores of Lake Þingvellir, a beautiful and historically significant area.

Þingvellir National Park: Explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to Iceland’s ancient parliament, Alþingi, and the Almannagjá continental rift. We will take a 20-minute hike to the rift and discuss the rich cultural heritage of Iceland.

National Park Exploration: Drive through Þingvellir National Park, taking in the stunning landscape and its many scenic viewpoints.

Laugarvatn Village and Hot Springs: Stop to explore the village of Laugarvatn, known for its geothermal hot springs and traditional Icelandic cooking methods, where we will visit and learn about the hot springs.

Lunch at Friðheimar: Enjoy a unique lunch at Friðheimar, a greenhouse farm and restaurant in Reykholt, renowned for its world-famous tomato soup. Other lunch options are available upon request.

Optional Visit to an Icelandic Horse Farm: Upon request and subject to availability, take a private visit to a local, family-run horse farm in Reykholt to meet the famous Icelandic Horse.

Geysir Hot Springs: Explore the Geysir geothermal area, home to the erupting Strokkur geyser. We will take a short walk around the area to witness several eruptions.

Gullfoss Waterfall: End the day with a visit to Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most impressive waterfalls. You can explore multiple viewing points to capture the full magnificence of this natural wonder.

Return to Hotel: After a day filled with exploration, we will head back to your hotel.

Optional Add-On: Snowmobile Tour on Langjökull Glacier
