Meals are not included in the tour. We recommend wearing warm clothing, gloves, a hat, a waterproof jacket or raincoat, and sturdy hiking shoes.

Tour Highlights:

Departure from Hotel: Your driver will meet you at your hotel for the journey along Iceland’s stunning south coast. The drive to our first stop takes approximately 1.5 hours, passing through scenic areas such as Hellisheiði Heath, Hveragerði, Selfoss, Hella, and Hvolsvöllur.

Seljalandsfoss and Gljúfrabúi Waterfalls: Our first stop is the iconic Seljalandsfoss, one of Iceland’s most famous waterfalls. We’ll also visit the lesser-known but equally captivating Gljúfrabúi, a hidden gem nestled in a gorge, offering a more intimate and serene experience.

Rútshellir Cave: Explore the Rútshellir Cave, a man-made cave that highlights the unique tradition of cave dwelling in southern Iceland. This stop provides insight into Iceland’s history and cultural heritage.

Eyjafjallajökull Volcano at Þorvaldseyri Farm: If weather and visibility permit, we’ll stop by Þorvaldseyri Farm, located near the base of the Eyjafjallajökull Volcano. Here, you’ll learn about the 2010 eruption that disrupted air travel across Europe, with a chance to hear firsthand stories from locals who lived through the event.

Vík Village: Continue on to the charming village of Vík, where we will stop for lunch. Options include local favorites such as Halldórskaffi and Suður Vík. After lunch, we’ll take a walking tour of Vík, exploring its famous black sand beaches, the iconic Vík Church, and other notable landmarks.

Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach: Visit the world-renowned Reynisfjara, one of Iceland’s most striking black sand beaches. Known for its dramatic basalt columns and powerful waves, we will exercise caution here due to the dangerous tides. Your guide will ensure your safety as you explore this natural wonder.

Skógafoss and Kvernufoss Waterfalls: Our final stops are two beautiful waterfalls: the majestic Skógafoss, one of Iceland’s largest and most photographed falls, and the more secluded Kvernufoss, a hidden gem with a tranquil atmosphere, perfect for taking photos and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

Return to Hotel: After a day of unforgettable sights and experiences, we will head back to your hotel.

Optional Add-Ons:

Snowmobile Tour on Mýrdalsjökull Glacier: Departing from Sólheimar, this thrilling snowmobile ride offers an exciting way to explore the glacier’s pristine landscape.

Glacier Hike on Sólheimajökull: Strap on your crampons and embark on a guided glacier hike on the Sólheimajökull Glacier, where you’ll experience the incredible ice formations up close.
